WHERE MOUNTAINS MEET MINDFULNESS

Why We Love Dharamshala

Tibetan monasteries, cedar trails and the Dhauladhar rising overhead. Dharamshala feels both grounded and global.

The Dhauladhar Feels Close

Snow peaks rise dramatically above the town and forested slopes.

A Centre of Tibetan Buddhism

Monasteries and institutes sustain prayer, study and artistic traditions.

McLeod Ganj's Global Spirit

Pilgrims, students and travellers meet in a compact mountain town.

Cedar Trails and Waterfalls

Short walks lead through woods toward Bhagsu and nearby viewpoints.

Kangra Tea on the Lower Slopes

Tea gardens connect Dharamshala with a wider regional landscape.

A Stadium Beneath the Peaks

The cricket ground offers one of India's most dramatic sporting backdrops.

A BRIEF HISTORY

From Hill Station to Tibetan Centre

Dharamshala grew as a British-era hill station. From 1960, nearby McLeod Ganj became the home of the Dalai Lama and an important centre of Tibetan life in exile.

AN INTERESTING FACT

The Mountains Frame the Stadium

Dharamshala's cricket stadium is widely recognised for its striking setting below the Dhauladhar range.
